WW1 Lee Enfield  SMLE 1915 No1 Mk3  .303   Sniper Rifle

           fitted with a Periscopic Prism Sniper Scope 

    The WW1 1915 dated SMLE No1 Mk3 is fitted with an off set Periscopic Prism

sniper scope.  The rifle is fitted with a new .303 barrel by the last owner and has a very good grouping up to 300 yards.

   This rifle and scope combination was primarily used in Trench warfare alone the whole front line.

    The design of this system was for taken out of the battle space high value targets like officers and logistical hubs.

   All parts of the WW1 British SMLE  sniper rifle date from 1915 including the rifle and the scope and the scope mounts.  This rifle is also equip with windage adjustment on the rear iron sights.

     The Periscopic Prism scope is dated 1915 and has a adjustment drum in 100 yards increments and has a bullet drop compensator on the elevation drum.

    Even though this rifle is 119 years old it is as deadly today on the battlefield as it was in 1915.
