Pre WW1   SMLE Number 1 Mark 3    dated 1908   .303  Service Rifle

                                                Nice condition

          This is a very nice 1908  .303  Number 1 Mark 3 Service rifle fitted with Volley sight.   Matching numbers and has nice wood furniture.

         1908 was the second year of full production of the Number 1 Mark 3 British Army service rifle and manufactured at Enfield and fitted with full volley sights. 

         Good rifling of the barrel and BNP proof house stamped it also has Military proof stamp on the receiver.

   There is a very faint FTR Enfield inspection stamp for 1909 on the rear of the receiver
