Fazakerley No5 Mk1 .303 Jungle Carbine dated 3/45
This World War 2 Jungle Carbine was manufactured by R.O.F Fazakerley, Liverpool in early 1945
and is in good condition. It also is stamped on the right hand side of the receiver RFI 1955 No5 Mk1 which indicates that this rifle was sent out straight after its manufacture to Burma to support British troops against Japanese Imperial Army.
It was not uncommon for British rifles after the war to stay with the British Indian Army, there is no evidence of any repair work at that time to the rifle. The serial number is K2064 by the manufacturing date 3/45 on the fore-knox there is 00103 and it has British Proof marks BNP and a Indian proof stamp as well.
The bolt is stamped 00103 and is common numbered.
