This is a very nice example of a mid production 1952 Number 4 Mk1/2 in 303. It has very clean wood and metal work. The rifle was a WW2 No4 Mk1 and in 1952 it was upgraded to a Mk2 triggar system.
This also has a very rare serial number we have not seen before OB26718A which is factory stamped.
1952 was the change over year from British Army serial numbering Prefix (PF) 1949 -1952 to the NATO prefix (UF) 1952-1955. We have never seen a OB Prefix before and this will be of great interest to collectors. This rifle would sit perfectly in a No4 Mk2 collection
