Nazi made k98 converted for the Columbian contract in 30-06

This FN Nazi made Mauser K98 converted was to 30-06 in the 1950's and was restamped for the FN Columbian contract in the 1950's.

It was originally manufactured at the FN company for the Nazi's in WW2 but after the war there was a surplus of parts, rifles and tooling left over at the  FN plant.

When FN won the Columbian contract they try there hardest to almost completely removed the waffern proof stamp from the receiver  on this rifle, but waffern Eagle stamp is still 30% intact . Also inside the outer bolt is an intact waffern Nazi proof stamp with the waffern eagle 100% complete.

FN Columbian Short Rifle Mauser. In nice looking refurbished condition. Maker marked by Fabrique National of Belgium on contract in the 1950's. Columbian military crest present on the receiver, a little worn beneath the nice parkerized finish.

Serial numbers match bolt and on the receiver and magazine plate are all matching numbers. Saftey and cocking piece are in good order. Nice parkerized finish, on the metal as pictured, front sling swivel .
